We’ve always realised that our distribution force are the visable face of our business and we take great efforts to train them to ensure that they portray a professional image and act respectfully. After all, they’re approaching countless properties every day.
We’ve had two big thank you’s this week alone from home owners – One via Twitter, a home owner saying that they had just had items delivered by one of our guys, who appeared very smart in his hi-visibility branded jacket, he was very curteous and ensured he pushed the items fully through the letterboxes and then ensured he shut the gate behind him.
The second one was a phone call into the office saying that our delivery person had put through his house keys by mistake when he was delivering. I phoned the delivery person and he stated they weren’t his, but he had found them on a driveway to the house so assumed that they were the occupiers and posted them through the letterbox. It turns out that the occupiers had visitors earlier in the day and had dropped them. To say thank you for his honesty and for being thoughtful they bought him a big box of chocolates.
This may seem little things, but sometimes it’s the little things that make the difference.
